1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using TmpMail (get-a-temp-email.xyz), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our service. These terms apply to all users of the service, including API users.

2. Description of Service

TmpMail provides temporary, disposable email addresses for receiving emails. The service is designed for legitimate privacy protection purposes such as:

Testing and development purposes
Protecting your real email from spam
Signing up for services you don't fully trust
One-time verifications and confirmations
Maintaining online anonymity for legitimate reasons

3. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to use TmpMail for:

Any illegal activities or to facilitate illegal activities
Fraud, scams, phishing, or identity theft
Harassment, stalking, or threatening others
Creating fake accounts for malicious purposes
Circumventing bans or restrictions on other services through deception
Distributing malware, viruses, or harmful content
Mass automated abuse or denial of service attacks
Any activity that violates applicable laws or regulations

4. Service Limitations

Email Retention: Temporary inbox emails are automatically deleted after 24 hours. Fixed mailbox emails (paid feature) are retained for up to 7 days based on user settings. We cannot recover deleted emails.

No Sending: TmpMail is for receiving emails only. You cannot send emails from your temporary address.

No Guarantees: Email delivery is not guaranteed. Some senders may block disposable email domains.

Public Inboxes: Anyone with your inbox token can access your emails. Do not use for sensitive information.

5. API Usage

Our API is provided for legitimate automation purposes. API users must:

Respect rate limits (documented in our API docs)
Not attempt to overload or abuse the service
Not resell or redistribute API access
Follow the same acceptable use guidelines as web users

6. Intellectual Property

The TmpMail name, logo, and website design are our intellectual property. You may not use our branding without permission. The service itself is provided under open-source principles - see our GitHub repository for details.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

TmpMail is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. Use the service at your own risk.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TmpMail and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, profits, or business opportunities, arising from your use of the service.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or restrict access to our service at any time, for any reason, without notice. We may block IP addresses or domains engaged in abuse. Users who violate these terms may be permanently banned from the service.

10. Changes to Terms

We may modify these terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

11. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the service shall be resolved through appropriate legal channels.
